The Best Live Music in Aarhus!
We pride ouselves on serving up some of the best new bands to arrive in Denmark. They can come form as far a field as the US and many other countries. The main bands are all from either Ireland, the UK and there is some home grown talent too.
The music can change from week to week, sometimes its classic but up-beat Irish music and other weeks we have a blend of the old and new songs. You can bet though there'll be plenty of sing alongs and plenty of space for the dancers.
If you've not been to one of big Steve's quizzes before, then you really dont know what you are missing. Big Welsh Steve provides the weekly quiz to a packed pub every Thursday night (be early to get a seat.) The quiz is anything from general knowledge to the absolutely ridiculous. There are cash prizes to be won. So join us for a great night out and prove to your mates once and for all that you really are the struggling genius you say you are !
You just have to come for the laughs, there are no professionals here promised. Karaoke is each Wednesday from about 10pm and you can bet the pub will be full. If your looking to have a right laugh then this is the night to come on down, "hippie Nick" spins the "Wheels of steel" and brings the house down with some classic tunes that keep our toes tapping into the wee small hours. A classic night out...so what are you waiting for ?
Tir na nog Aarhus is changing things on sunday from traditional Irish to a more open jam format. The new sessions will be led by myself (Bobby McBride) and open to acoustic music of pretty much every type (folk, bluegrass, blues, irish, ORIGINAL..etc) this group is to let not only musicians and participators know about the weekly "jams", but their friends and (if you are lucky) fans to attend. feel free to contact myself or the pub for more info!
